Since Repl.it is a general-purpose IDE that supports third-party packages in many languages, you can integrate testing frameworks into your projects which can be used for assessments.
We've written a tutorial for how to do testing in Python using PyTest that you can read here.
If you want a robot to help you grade your student's homework assignments, you can follow the guides below. We have demonstrated several different ways to do autograding with repl.it so you can pick the one that works best for you.
The "Simple Autograders" show you how to run unit tests directly on your student's work. These are best if you just have a few students and you don't mind sharing the tests with them, and running the tests on each assignment individually.
The "Centralized Autograders" show you how to build your own custom grading server from scratch. These are best if you have very custom needs, but are the most difficult to get set up.
Alternatively you can use our guides to integrate with ReplGrader.com which is a third-party grading service. This is the simplest option, but also the most limited.
If you want inspiration for what kind of homework you can set for your class, we also have some tutorials with example assignments. Obviously your students might find these too as they are freely available, so probably modify them to prevent plagiarism.
